How did we get here?
How do societies form? Why do people join- or avoid – them?
Are we that different from our ancestors?
Does our place of birth determine our destiny?
Students will seek answers to these questions and more in World History. Rather than memorizing names and dates, this history course requires students to think critically about how people live and react to events around them. Students will develop the skills to analyze sources critically and present their own ideas. They will discuss historical events and their modern impact. The lived experiences of each student are a part of history, and they will be asked to consider how they will weave themselves into the tapestry of the world.
