Description:

Washington State is an extraordinarily diverse place, rich with natural beauty and unique people. In this 1-semester course, students will learn how geography, culture, and industry have interacted to form our modern state. Science, history, economics, and human expression will combine with students’ own communities and lived experiences to build a learning experience as unique as our state. Students will leave this course with skills in personal research, critical analysis, and direct local action.
