1. Overview
Empowered Scholars is committed to providing high-quality, inclusive online education while maintaining transparent and sustainable financial practices. This policy outlines tuition expectations, available payment options, and fee-related procedures for enrolled families.
2. Tuition and Fees
– Year-long Course Tuition: $800 per course, per student
– Administrative Fee: $175 per student, per academic year (non-refundable)
– Late Payment Fee: $25 per installment if payment is more than 7 days past due
– Optional Tutoring Fee: Typically $45–$60 per hour; rates may vary and are arranged directly with tutors
– Referral Credit: $50 per successful referral, up to $200 per family, per academic year
3. Payment Plans
Families may choose to pay in full at the time of enrollment or select from one of our payment plan options. All tuition and fees must be paid in full prior to the end of the academic year.
Available Payment Plans:
– One-time Payment: Full tuition and fees paid at enrollment
– Quarterly Payments: Tuition divided into 4 equal payments, due at the beginning of each quarter
– Monthly Payments: Tuition divided into 9 monthly payments (August–April), due on the 1st of each month
The administrative fee is due in full at the time of enrollment regardless of the selected payment plan.
4. Late Payments
A $25 late fee will be assessed if payment is not received within 7 days of the scheduled due date. Continued non-payment may result in restricted access to course materials or removal from class rosters until payment is resolved. Families experiencing financial hardship are encouraged to contact Empowered Scholars to discuss alternative arrangements.
5. Refund Policy
Refunds are issued under the following conditions:
– Withdrawal within 14 calendar days of class start: 100% refund of tuition (admin fee non-refundable)
– Withdrawal between 15–30 days of class start: 50% refund of tuition
– Withdrawal after 30 days: No refund
Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment within 14 business days of approved withdrawal.
